I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. From a young age I developed a love for drawing and painting; this was nurtured by my mother thankfully, and I was able to late pursue my painting studies. My first public showcase came in 2013 when I was invited to participate in the annual I Madonnari chalk art festival at the Santa Barbara Mission, and went on to participate for the next 5 years. This really fueled my passion for drawing and only made me want to get better. In 2018 I was a finalist in the 13th International ARC Salon Competition, with two drawings featured in the Salon Art Catalogue that year. I went on to pursue my studies at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. There I studied classical drawing and painting techniques under the instruction of Maestro Michael John Angel and instructor Jered Woznicki.
I am greatly inspired by the masters of the renaissance and baroque eras, and hope to keep learning from the works they have left us. My goal is to keep traditional painting alive through my work, inspire religious meditation through sacred images and reinvigorate the use of traditional paintings in churches and sacred spaces.
Along with those that came before me, my greatest inspiration truly is my faith, husband and children. I hope to inspire my children to see true beauty in the world around them,, pursue the preservation of that beauty, and in turn help others to know the true nature of God as truth, beauty and love itself.
